It’s not often a songwriter attempts to wrestle with their truths, failures and questions so openly as lead vocalist and songwriter Simon Hirst does in Bomb 6a. Whether it’s the roaring, drop-tuned riff of ‘Say What You Want’, or the soft acoustic honesty of ‘We Were Right. This is an exciting new band chasing truth through songwriting, and honesty through distortion and noise. As well as live dates

Kirikiriroa Hamilton’s newest rock pop outfit Bomb 6a are making their arrival known with the release of their debut EP Let Love Happen. Blending distortion, drive and moments of striking vulnerability, the project introduces a band intent on carving out their own sound.


Fronted by vocalist and songwriter Simon Hirst, Bomb 6a bring a mix of big riffs and raw emotion. Tracks like Say What You Want come heavy with drop-tuned energy, while We Were Right leans into acoustic intimacy, showcasing the group’s range. Across the EP, Hirst’s songwriting is unflinching, turning personal truths and questions into lyrics that resonate with honesty.
